Surgical Success Stories - #431-440!

Tadelech is 50 years old, married and has four children. Her surgery was a bit of a marathon lasting 2.5 hours but the end result was well worth the effort!

Eyamu had suffered with her prolapse for the past six years before arriving in Soddo. She’s widowed and has given birth to five girls! Her youngest daughter came in with her and will return with her in a couple of days. Her smile was even bigger after her surgery!

Bizanech is a 50 year old woman who has given birth to nine children, and eight of them have survived. She’s married and had been suffering from her prolapse over the last four years before yesterday when she was finally relieved of that burden. Her surgery went very nicely and is now at home.

Mame is 69 years old, widowed and taken care of by her oldest son who is one of five children. Her prolapse had been present for three years but is now a thing of the past. The newest OB/GYN at Soddo Christian Hospital, Dr. Sarah Turner, was able to perform her surgery and did an excellent job!

Amate is 69 years old, has 2 children and is widowed. For the last four years this had been a constant bother to her but is now behind her!

Ayane is 55 and is also widowed. She has actually given birth to 12 children and they are amazingly all still alive! Her prolapse had been going on for three years and she is now prolapse free and at home.

Bekelech is 40 years old and lives with her husband. She has given birth to six children who are still alive and her prolapse had been bothering her for eight years - a very long time! She’s now recovering nicely.

Zenebch has been bothered by her prolapse for 14 YEARS! This is close to a record for the doctors, especially for how young she is. She’s only 35 and has given birth to eight children who are all still alive. Hopefully she and her husband can now enjoy their lives and their children prolapse free!

Bethlehem is only 18 years old and has a very unique story. Here is what Dr. Nate wrote to us about her:

“She first noticed the prolapse about 10 months ago and it’s truly a mystery how and why someone so young without any children and not even married can have such severe prolapse. Our challenge was to fix her prolapse while preserving her ability to have children. We did some research and also talked with Dr. Mark who is back in the States and performed a novel surgery that we feel will give her excellent results. It went extremely smoothly and we’re very hopeful for her future. I’m looking forward to the day where she gets married and starts to have children. I might have to send an update to y’all about that when that happens!”

Bizunesh, who is 55 years old, has had six children who are all alive. Her surgery went well and both she and is now home and prolapse free!
